Onkyo TX-NR1000 7.1 Channels Receiver A/V Receivers

DESCRIPTION

The Onkyo TX-NR1000 offers a remarkable level of compatibility and connectivity with more audio/video and audio-only inputs and outputs than almost any home system could ever need. In addition to the iLink(TM) and HDMI connections, there are optical and coaxial digital audio inputs and outputs, RCA stereo inputs and outputs, a phono input, and component, S-video, and composite video connections. The TX-NR1000 also has composite and S-Video upsampling to component video, which greatly simplifies switching and connections when mixing video source components from different generations.

Strength:

Sound quality.
Individual input assignment
I-link for audio

Weakness:

HDMI 1.0 which was never upgraded

The remote feels nice, but is poorly designed. Give me a 3rd party Universal.

Great sounding receiver. Flagship build quality.
The hefty price tag includes the design to upgrade through removeable cards.
The Onkyo 989 was a failure in "future proof," Onkyo uses this same motto again to defraud buyers of their elite receivers. Hig paying customers received the biggest scam job.

Onkyo deserves to be sued.
They have released one upgrade card for the Onkyo and it was released months before discontinuing the unit.

This company is made up of really low class w/o honor garbage feeders. This is not a business that deserves your money

They are nice enough to take your Flagship receiver back at cost and sell you a 905 at their cost. Then they Ebay your 1000's w/ a disclaimer and laugh their ways to the bank. Jerk-offs.

Customer Service

I don't think there is a word for this in Japanese to Onkyo.
They just start laughing at us stupid gaijin.
