Bottom Line:
Purchased this AV receiver circa 2001. Mated with other integra individual components plus Paradigm 20's as hanging side,, 60's,towers as fronts, cc330 mid-channel speakers, with Klipsch 2-way monitors as rears,, PDR 15 powered sub. Took some time to get tweaked to LOUSY bsmnt room accoustics, hoever, once "dialed in" was THOUROUGHLY impresed by sonic quality of the above system. Home Theatre OR loud, gut wrenching boogie blues or 60's/70's live rock n' roll at way too loud Db levels were both a new experience even when viewing repeat DVD fliks OR my fav vinyl, cassette, cd, or dvd 'live' music! Heard new details never heard previously except on the original Pyramids(approx$ 20k in 1974) from Roy Green (?) of Colorado Springs, again - EVERY TIME!. This receiver/amp pumped it out!. Auto shut-down circuitry workedflawlessly leaving me worry free. NOTE. I had SYSTEM HOOKED TO TWO - 2 - DEDICATED CIRCUITS , plus used 14 GUAGE SPEAKER WIRE THROUGHOUT BSMNT OF RQUAL LENGTHS and, ran GOOD mid-range component connectors between individual units - Integra DVR If there's one weak point - more a prejudice - the PDR 15 sub lacked the puncj I like, likely because I been learning the electric bass for 30 + years. The clarity, tonal quality, and ruggedness - within this price range - met, AND exceeded my expectations...,exspecially since they've been used per above for over six - 6 - years now!!! WORD...'ya get wat ya pay for!'
