Summary:
i agreed with people that NAD produces good music quality, especially the level of clarity. I used it to replace my old Sony receiver, and AV713 shows a great improvement. i'm also pleased with its ability to produce good home theatre environment. With only Dolby Pro-Logic, this machine does a very good job in generating the "effect". (I experienced it by watching Godzilla, Enemy of the State, Amadeus, Alien 2, etc.) Well, if you want to compare it with receivers equipped with Dolby Digital with 100+watt output, AV713 is definitely falling behind. But it is also not a fair comparison. No pre-out is the thing that disappoints me 'cause I got no chance to upgrade to digital. My advice for those who are looking for an AV receiver: get one with Dolby Digital+DTS (Nakamichi AV10 would be a good choice, but priced higher).

Summary:
This is my first A/V Surround Reciver.I am pretty satisfied with it.
The recvier plays all my music VERY
well. The movies really come to live
in my home theater.
One little thing though with it is
a little "buzz" when you use the
Pro Logic mode. VERY ennoying late
at nights when you don't play so loud.
But otherwise i'am pleased with it.
So if you are looking for a Reciver
with ALOT of power and push in the
sound I recommend this one, or
maby the new T750 (It has 5.1 inputs).
So I'd go for the last one but it
was not up for grabs when i bought
my 713 so...

/Marcus
