quality unit!! A quality machine, this tramples over most recievers that are sold today--one can tell that simply from picking it up and noticing the glass front and brushed metal finish. The sound is amazing; i went back and forth between the Onkyo 805/806, Denon 1909, Pioneer 1018/1019 and decided on this and could not be more pleased.

I'm running B & W's DM601's and they sound incredible with this amp.

I bought this unit as an upgrade to my JVC RX8020. I needed hdmi switching and better sound. This receiver absolutely rocks. It's got traditional Marantz amplification excellence with the capability of mastering your entire system. I run 6 components through it one way or the other. The only dig is that it needs more inputs (it has 4 rear and 1 front) and could use a 4th hdmi input. Sound quality is excellent; the remote is a bit of a joke so do yourself a favor and learn it to a universal such as any from the MX line or a Harmony. There is a 2 second delay when switching hdmi inputs and although the unit does upscale analog devices such as my original Tivo, it doesn't do a very good job of it. I'd rate it 5 starts if it had better upscaling. It's got Audyssey Muliti-Eq for optimum speaker settings although the results it returned were very close to my original manual settings. You can search for a better price than the listed price; I ended up paying alot less.
