Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $410.00 from FutureShop

Summary:
This is one reciever that will not disappoint. 110 min into 8 channels (2 fronts, 1 center, 2 side surrounds and 1 or 2 back speakers). Most speaker terminals are banana plug, the front 2 terinals are normal type. The video inputs are as follows: 2 vcr (1 in, 1 out), Cd, dvd, dvd multi, tv/dbs and tape/cdr. It's also got plenty of digital inputs, 3 optical, 1 coax, plus 1 optical out. I have my DPL2, Neo6 and DSPs so I'm happy with my purchase. There's also other features like built in radio, speaker level control, sub out, digial EQ, and quick speaker setup.

Strengths:
110 w min per channel, EX/ES capable, virtual Surround back.

Weaknesses:
needs to be placed with ventilation in mind, runs hot. Heavy.

Similar Products Used:
panasonic stuff.

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
