I will spare you all of the adverbs and analogies.... This is a fantastic receiver. I purchased it new in 2002 for $340 and have used it non-stop for 7 years. It has provided me with many years of wonderful sound and has always garnered positive comments on its stylish facade. I do have to report one issue... As much as it pains me to say it, there is something wrong with my receiver. Apparently the is a piece of plastic the prevents the Sub out from grounding and thus allows it to send the signal to the sub. Unfortunately this particular piece has gone missing and now whenever I connect a subwoofer to this port, I get a loud humming. Regardless, I am very, very happy with my purchase and luckily for me I am pretty handy with a circuit board. It looks to be a very easy fix. If you can find a used one of these make sure to snap it up, you will be smiling for years to come.
