Summary: Bought used about 7 years ago. No problems ever. Have thought about upgrading, but if it ain't broken, why fix it. Have tried others but not as good as this one. Always come back to reinstalling this after a day or two.

Summary: This is a great product, you can get it manufacturer refurbished on either ubid or ebay for quite cheap, and will give you absolutely stellar sound. I have used this product for almost a year, and have not had any problems with it. The imaging in both stereo and surround modes is excellent. The one thing you should be aware of if you buy this reciever it does not pump out a lot of volume, making it not a appriopriate choice for a large room. However, the sound is extremely refined and is absolutely perfect for a smaller room, like a family room or my one bedroom apartment. If your looking for a great quality cheap reciever, you can't go wrong with this one.
Weaknesses: Only two digital inputs, not a loud reciever, complicated remote

Summary: Great sround sound nice job of decoding sounds. But I my self listen to music more than movies and have to turn reciver 80% or more just to hear decent mid volume sound level. So going fot HT only this is the one in the 300 dollar range but music run like hell.
Strengths: HT sound,mode,5ch. speaker control
Weaknesses: Music,low power,nowhere near what other 100w x 5 put out.
i have this same one, for about 6 months now and am absolutely pleased, for price/performance there is competition. have owned samsung and pioneer and always had problems with them but never the denon. this is the best receiver under $400 hands down
