Bottom Line: Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. If Leonardo da Vinci's quote is apt to anything at all it is the Denon AVR1912. Where others invest in fancy front panel controls the real magic of this gem is in the inside. The outstanding sound quality convinces immediately. The 7 amplifiers are amazing in their linearity. Bi Amp-ing is a great option as are the advanced networking possibilities. As I'm allergic to Apple I really cannot comment on the Airplay features nor do I bother. Last.fm and napster are there. I was thrilled to be able to operate both my Samsung TV and BD player with the same (Denon's) remote control. For normal day to day use the four easily programmable quick select buttons on the front are great. As are the three radio preset buttons. In Pure Direct mode all noise generating video processing and display circuits are switched off leaving a really stunning audiophile amplifier. The six HDMI inputs are more than enough for me. The loudspeaker terminals are a bit awkward to operate. But the Audyssey logic is great, calibration with the included mic is a breeze. MultiEQ XT sounds greeat. All usable audio formats are supported including DTS HD, DTS Neo 6 Dolby TrueHD
The perfect AVR for audio aficionados.
