After a long absence from the audio world, the bug bit me a few months ago and I started researching.
A lot has changed. Back in the day I was running a Technics SE-A3 Mk2... AVR's didn't exist.
Any how, I picked up this avr on Craigslist for a really good price.
I took it apart and cleaned and checked it over, it's a bit of a light weight in the power department, but the sound it outs out is very easy on the ears.
I'm still building the system so it's only running 5.1 right now, but it's really very nice for a "store brand" amp.
As with most men, I tackled the setup without reading the 200 page manual and found the on screen gui pretty intuitive and managed to figure it all out in a couple of days.
I like that it enables you to adjust and tweak everything you need to. The network connection is great for digital music too.
It runs pretty "cool" and only get warm even when pushing it hard for several hours.
Overall I'm very satisfied with it, it has exceeded my expectations.
