Description:
If you're looking for a modestly priced Dolby Digital A/V receiver with 100 watts per channel, Aiwa's AV-D67 can deliver the digital goods. The AV-D67 has a Dolby Digital processor that's capable of decoding 5.1-channel surround sound from DVDs and other digital sources, such as some satellite TV broadcasts. There are 10 DSP (digital signal processing) settings, including "hall" and "stadium, " as well as a virtual surround sound mode. Plus, the DV-D67 also decodes the Dolby Pro-Logic soundtrack on some videocassettes and TV broadcasts. The amplifier stage provides 100 watts to each of five channels (there's a preamplified output for the addition of a separate powered subwoofer). A three-position T-Bass bass boost gives you the option of tailoring the bass response to your liking. The rear panel sports a pretty healthy jack pack, with three composite video inputs, three digital inputs (two optical, one coaxial) and four analog stereo inputs.
