Strength:

Quality of sound Power Digital Equalizer looks great

Weakness:

This reciever is great, the power and quality are equally great. Friends of mine have paid twice as much for their recievers and they don't sound as nice as this one

Strength:

The strength is definately the power, but its equally matched by the quality

Weakness:

NOthing really

This product is awesome. The digital equalizer looks great, the sound kicks as loud as any brand, and the quality is crisp. I've had a more than one experience with recievers and this one is by far my favorite. Quality and Power are top notch

Strength:

Great Price Great Sound quality Lots of Options Good Power

Weakness:

Using the remote is kind of like controlling you reciever with a surf board. Display isn't great (I don't use the onscreen option) Main control knobs are a little large but that's Aiwa

Couldn't pass up the deal on a receiver with so many options. This is the first Aiwa product I have used. It has treated me very well. I was a little concerned about some of the reviews I have read but I have had no problems at all. Sound quality is great. Love all the options. The optical sound from my DVD sounds really nice. Hate the remote (use a SIMA SUR20).

Strength:

Sub is nice.

Weakness:

When the power flickered, I ost the SubWoofer signal. My sub still works, but the receiver wont send anything to it. Two things to do: 1) Send the receiver to the nearest service center (600 miles away, international shippinh to Canada). or 2) Buy a service manual off of eBay, and attempt the fix myself. Guess which route I picked...

Lots of power, but difficult to operate/tweak.

Strength:

Stereo power (120 watts/channel), BBE Processing, DTS, Digital 5.1, easy (for me) to operate. Definitely a great AV receiver for the price

Weakness:

Display is too small, although it does have an on-screen display that I never used. Setting radio presets is time consuming.

I have used this receiver for two years or so with no problems. Cerwin Vega VS-100s are my mains, and I use Sony 5-CD Player. The BBE function and T-Bass are great, I have never used the graphic equalizer or dsp settings (they muddy the sound too much). On occasion, I used the 5.1 Digital and DTS capabilities, the channel separation is excellant and I really like the optical digital connections.

Strength:

many functions to enjoy for the price. great for causal user to play with.

Weakness:

Not very user friendly, especially the radio setting part. The remote needs a video on it's own to understand.

Great sound, many usable functions, very happy with total product's ability to perform. Controls cd, phono, tape deck, radio, wtih ease. At the moment no complaints with product.

Onkyo, the same, but more expensive. However, it is easier to use.

Strength:

killer sound

Weakness:

Junk

I have had nothing but problems with Awia, but saw a killer deal on this reciever and had to nab it.Not even a year after purchasing,it crapped out on me.The over level indicator light comes on and no sound.I even had someone check it out,and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. This is the 4th Awia product that has kicked the bucket on me.In my opinion,Awia sucks as far as dependability. It's a shame to,because I love the tone of Awia.

Strength:

remote is awsome. it looks great. power. clarity. The bass is the best I''v heard, even over some of the mid priced yamahas and onkyo''s GREAT!

Weakness:

honestly non that i can think of. I really like this unit.

this is a great receiver. I love it 120 watts per channel. the remote can do anything, anything at all. the sound is great high mids and lows. never had any problems with at all. very reliable. I have read alot of the reviews and i dont agree with them at all. this thing deserves more credit than its getting.

Strength:

Lots of extras, and handles my XBOX, DVD, VCR. Great price. (I use it daily.)

Weakness:

Nothing really, hasn''t broken down yet.

I got this receiver to match my Bose. I added two more bose book shelf speakers and for about 2 and a half now, it''s worked great. The receiver handles all the speakers well. Together, my xbox gaming is almost real.
