Review NaN of , from NJ, USA

Price Paid:  $1500.00 from dealer

Summary:
The DSP-A1 in gold finiosh is a handsome looking component and with performance to match. The sound (thru B&W monitors) is taut, authoritative with a significant low end. Vocals are very clean and with total absence of hiss/sibilance. Very generous supply of inputs (digital + analog) though I wish they would DROP THE COMPOSITE VIDEO I/O. Anybody spending $1500+ today is NOT going to connect video components using composite video- when will manufacturers learn? Remote is a tricky gizmo- would have preferred a simpler version. Finally a digital readout of volume would be welcome.

Strengths:
Looks, power, performance (vis-a-vis wattage). Never ran hot. Generous inputs. Superior build quality

Weaknesses:
Remote control, REMOVE the composite video inputs/outputs, lack of digital volume readout

Review NaN of , from Argentina

Price Paid:  $1150.00 from Buenos Aires

Summary:
I guess that at this very moment, is a very good option for those looking for a good equipment at low price

Strengths:
Versatility, Remote, Audio

Weaknesses:
Not Dolby Digital II, because ot the time of manufacturing
It was the price. Now, is discontinued, and the price lowered down
