Price Paid:  $4500.00 from Galaxy

Summary:
Best Product for my needs.
I tested several systems, some had more programability..Arcam and Sony had the ability to set the delay and parameter for the dolby processing for each source and crossover points in single hz variations. the 119 allows plenty of configurations however and what sets it apart ergonomically is that either the remote or manually all you all variables are present there on the center itself without going into sub-menus.
then there is the sound: whther movies or stereo the sound is excellent. It is not as dark as the old Macs, but it is rich with a powerful bass and extended highs.
low-level musical cues are easily heard. The sound through the balanced outputs is especially good
I have had other units in which there have been faults between the video and the audio decoding. this has not happened once with the 119
a winner!!

Strengths:
The Look, if you like it...The sound, the sound the sound
ease of use.....

Weaknesses:
Could use a bit more programable abilities. for example, if connected to two amps (one for ht one for stereo) it would be nice to be able to program the unit so that a source would trigger one amp and not the other and so on depending on the source.....

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
