Very beautiful instrument. Easy to use and to control. Clear sound specaily in stereo. Good bass (with good speakers). Nice remote. Kenwood in their best.

No AC-3(Dolby Digital) - shame, moreover it is not AC-3 ready even.

I realy enjoy my instrument and I now conect an ac-3 decoder to it and it will be perfect to sereo listenning and home teather.

Used this pre-amp/processor for eight months. It is THX certified but not AC3/DTS capable, only pro-logic. The sound is big on home theater application but not detailed. On two channel listening, it's awful, hard bass frequency, unnatural mid and harsh highs. Used it with the KMX-1 6 channel power amp., B&W six series speakers and ASW 800 subwoofer.
Upgraded to the B&K separates and the B&W Matrix Series speakers.
