The Alesis RA300 Amplifier worked great with minimal use in the first year. After that, I started to get some cracking and static in my sound on occasion. It comes and goes, so I am not sure of the cause. This has been well taken care of and always used indoors in well-maintained temperatures. Great sound when it is not crackling. I have also seen other reports of crackling. I didn't try to contact their customer service.

Amplifier failed after 35 days of ownership. Guitar Center refused to take it back, after all, it was a full five days past their return period! Sent back to manufacturer for replacement on March 26th, 2009. Today is June 20th, I still have nothing despite REPEATED follow ups on my part. The worst amplifier and the WORST POSSIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, period. Do not buy this piece of trash.
If I could, I would buy anything else. Parasound, Crown, QSC, Adcom, even Behringer and Technical Pro make superior product. What was I thinking? Please listen to me and do your self a favor. Avoid this product and Alesis altogether, because If you buy their gear and it fails, they will take it back for repair and never return it!!!!!!

Low priced for a very clean sound. As a class A-B amp it's quiet reliable and worths it's money - ( this is of course for as long as it doesn't crackle! ).

1) Crackles and finally cut outs in both channels!
2) No solution by electronic engineers can be tracked down
3) Alesis doesn't respond to costumer e-mails - at least not to mine and several others

Just take my advice: DON"T BUY THIS AMP OR ANY OTHER ALESIS RA AMP ! ! !

Don't buy this amplifier! It will start crackle on both channels within a few months. The bad news is that no engineer is able to justify what the problem is. And - worst of all - Alesis will not respond to your e-mails. At least that's what happened to me.
