Review 1 of 28

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
ADCOM's Made in China is different than those yester-year Made in USA, the China made is pure garbage junk, all kind of problems, electronically, electrically and processor wise; control does not work properly and doing other things not supposed to do, sound reproductions is one of the worst kind I ever heard ... on the other hand, if you can get earlier models, those that is still Made in the old USA ... they sing and sing so wonderfully producing audiophile quality sound ... this model is Made in China folks ... save your money, forget new model ADCOM's ... either you go vintage or add more $ to your investment if you want your system to sing ...

You were right until you said that the old Adcoms were good. I compared a 200 watt per channel Adcom to a 100 wpc McIntosh solid state about 20 years ago in my own sysytem, and the Adcom was harsh and brittle. It was junk then too; just well marketed junk.

Adcom flat out should be sued for their lousy products.Heh heh,try sending the unit back for repair.Oh, you'll get it back alright ! Same condition.I hate this lousy company cause I cannot afford to buy another unit now and this thing is a useless black box sitting in my closet.

Review 4 of 28 , from Phoenix,AZ

Price Paid:  $100.00 from used

Summary:
As many have found, these components fail out of the box or soon after. My unit had to be unplugged to reset it when it would shut down output for no apparent reason. The volume knob has a delay and no sound at all until 20%-30%. These problems seem to be prevalent with this unit.
The rest of the system has B&W Matrix loudspeakers, Velodyne ULD-12 subwoofer and a GFA-7500 amp.
It used to hum a little but now there is no output whatsoever from the audio or video portions. Just the tuner works. I work for an A/V company and this particular unit has a very high return rate for service. It sounds like a severe internal ground problem exists from the factory.

Strengths:
ADCOM name

Weaknesses:
repeated failures and noise

Review 5 of 28 , from San Jose,CA

Summary:
I have installed(6) of these units and all of them have the same problems. It seems that they all have had problems with poping and hum on the digital inputs. The tuner is a worthless item as well, but this is true with most pre/pro combos out there. I have had several units DOA as well, and some that came back from Adcom service that were still not quite right. It would surprise me if the 750 was any better!!

Strengths:
none

Weaknesses:
All
