Summary:
The remote always worked well. Reprogramming - in the event of battery replacement was painless. The only issue is getting it to display the on screen menu for my VCR. So far, no joy.

Summary:
This product simply does not work. It continually looses its programming. On failing, the remote refuses to reprogrammed. Occurs even with brand new batteries.

During step 3 of TV or Cable Box programming, the indicator light turns off before the 3 digit code has been entered. This occurs after pressing the first digit of the 3 digit code.

Programming with code search yields similar problems. after the 4th or 5th code in the sequence, the remote exits the code searching sequence prematurely.

It may take up to 10 attempts to reprogram the remote, it will only retain the information up to 2-5 minutes some times!

Stay well away from the System Link 4 Series or remotes from RCA. Model: CRCU1400W

Looses its programming after 2-5 minutes, refuses to be reprogrammed 90% of the time.
