Strength:

Easy to install, great range, works will all the Niles products seamlessly

Weakness:

Overall system cost - I have three of them around the house, but you have to have them wired to a Niles IR Repeater. If you are building new, then this is a GREAT way to distribute IR commands. If you can't run wires, then I would definately go with RF.

I have a three story townhouse. I LOVE the fact that all my A/V equipment is kept downstairs (basement). I had the foresight to wire the house for network, IR, video, and audio.

I can control ALL my components by aiming my remote at this little device. I have three of them around the house with wiring for two more.

I guess I'm just a nut, but how cool is it to fire up a CD and play it throughout the house, or in just that room without getting up from my chair?

Similar Products Used:

Never used an IR distribution product before.
