Summary:
Pros: Simple to program, easy enough for the average housefrau to use. Frees you from having to handle all the remotes for your technically challenged family. Well laid out, good battery life, great ergonomics. Just plain good

Cons: Does not fully replace ALL other remotes There are still functions on my HT remote (Onkyo 905) that are simply too difficult to recreate on the Harmony One but if you're willing to spend the time and sweat you could probably get it done.

Summary: The Harmony One is the first true Universal Remote that I've used that's actually lived up to it's name. I've a table full of other pretenders and all fell short particularly when it came to programing. With the H1 all you have to do is put in the model numbers of the gear you want to control, the macro's you want to perform and voila. I don't git no better.

Strong, with good fit and finish it is so simple my ole lady hasn't asked me or the boy to change from TV to DVD in months. That kind of peace of mind is cheap at twice the price. Great ergonomics, excellent key layout and on smooth operator. If you've got a lot of basic remotes cluttering your table, this is the bad boy to get.
