Summary:
Bought these with the Studio 40. They are quite appealing to the eye and the lines and contours of the stands blend well with those of the speakers. They are very solid and quite heavy. I thought that they supported the speakers very well. Did a good job in controlling resonance. Then I filled the tubes with sand. It definitely made a difference in the performance of the speakers. Sound was fuller, cleaner, and the low end really solidified. Paradigm did a good job on these. Full marks.

Summary:
I got these with my Paradigm active /20's.
Pricey, but i think they are one of the better built stands around.
Three indivdual tubes are braced togetehr with 3 metal strips and are then powder coated a gloss black. Adjustable spiked feet as well as base plate spikes.
I invested in something called" chrome metal pearlite"
from audio advisor. Very heavy and dense lead-pellet like material that has made these stands about 60 pounds each.
Does wonders for the sound quality as stand resonances are eliminated.

Took a long time to pour the "heavy metal" though as the opening on top of the stand tubes is less than half an inch wide.

Overall a great product!!

Summary:
These stands are absolutely solid and heavy! I have the 26" inch of the J series. I filled mine with sand and each one weighs approximately 36 pounds. The three poles on each stand definetely prevents them to "wobble".

I used to have the cheaper C series from Premier. Those stands are $80 and the J series are $180. The J series are way, way better than the C series. I could now play my system louder since the stands no longer resonated. Bass tightened and imaging was more controlled and focused. These stands also look better and make me happier. I like everything about these stands. They are truly worth $180.00.

Summary:
I checked out a lot of stands and the Premiers are the best period! I filled mine w/lead shot and sand and can't believe how heavy and sturdy they are. I didn't think there would be a diff. in sound but WOW! Compared to the fiber board stands I used to own, the Premiers really brought out the resolution.
If your looking for some top of the line stands, check the Premier J series out, they're the top of the top!
