I have one of these optimus slant racks in my studio - about 10 space on the slant topn and 8 spaces one the bottom (vertical section). The way in which this frame has become embedded in my control room creates a situation where I could use a second one for expansion. Does anyone have one or know where to find one?

"A clean desk is a sign of a sick mind". Or so they say. Hence,ORGANIZATION please!! What to do with all the audio gear you have that are populating all of your table space? Invasion of the counter snatchers!! Fortunately,the "E.I.A." has standardized component cabinet size so that one may rack mount these units,(with the appropriate rack "ears")and screws. Then mount my Nad 6300 cassette,Sony DTC-A6 DAT,and my NAD 7400 reciever. Wow except for the strange cutout holes on the Sony DAT,everythings lines up,and mounts just fine. The rack is sturdy,extremely mobile with its' glide along casters. (Unlocked of course).All cable access is easy too. No closed back like those enclosed cabinet racks. So total success,and one very satisfied customer. I couldn't leave well enough alone,naturally. I wanted to mount my TEAC X-10 open reel machine. This is a heavy 3 motor 3 head machine. My dbx noise reduction unit needed to be mounted as well. So, I call TEAC to buy the rack ears. Oh-oh,sorry,TEAC stopped making those ears years ago. So,I made my own. What a pain! With primative tools and some aluminum "L" bracket stock,and spacer plate,I created what TEAC could not supply me . All in all,not bad. It was a bear mounting the TEAC to the 2nd new "OPTIMUS" rack I bought. I used the 45 degree angle portion again. This gave best access to the decks' controls. It makes the rack top heavy though. The dbx noise reduction unit mounted on the lower vertical,no sweat,thank you. So now,with all my space returned,with only my Nakamichi ZX-7,and Tandberg TCD-3014 on my counter,I call this a raging success. Everything is so organized,even my buddies can't believe it. I am a slob,never will change either. However with the Optimus 19" EIA rack mounting rack,I have a very "organized" and "efficient" layout of my gear.
