Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $139.00

Summary:
I was initially very turned off by the magazine photo of these -- the bare steel looked horrible.

Fortunately they're actually a dark grey color, much nicer looking than plain steel (which looks silver).

Since I spend an avg. of $14/CD, it's holding close to
$5,000 of "software", so the $139 price doesn't seem unreasonable. Plus, the three plastic units it replaced cost me $60, so it's not way WAY more expensive.

I really like the fact that THERE ARE NO SLOTS, which means that when I get a new CD, I can just SLIDE the others to make room for it. No more of the tedious slot/unslot
(sometimes repeated 20 times) that I had to do w/the old storage system.

----
Nit pick: I didn't get 3 email messages, I only got one.
And it took a long time to arrive (15 days).

Also, I wish their bookshelves were less expensive.

Strengths:
Sturdy, nice appearance, no wasted space

Weaknesses:
More sliders would be nice, for setting up subcategories within a shelf (like extra bookends)

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
