Bottom Line: Although all bellos are designed in italy, this particular model is manufactured in china. Bello updated this stand about a year ago. The updated version has a 42" wide top glass and bolts into the frame, whereas the previous version's top glass is only 39.75" wide and merely sits on top of the frame. The new version is a much better design, so if you buy off ebay for a better price, you may get the older version, if that matters to you.
The frosted italian glass is beautiful, The powder coat grey is not aesthetically pleasing as some silver colors, but matches the glass well. The quality of the finish is not exactly first class considering Bello is considered high end. Assembly took less than 30 minutes, and overall the unit presents well, and appears adequately sturdy. The price of this stand varies greatly among e-tailers, so try not to pay too much. Again, unless the unit is drop-shipped directly from bello, you could risk getting old stock where the glass just sits on top. I've got a $3,500 set sitting on mine, so I prefer a top glass that's permanently affixed.
