Bottom Line:
Atlantis Reference Audio Rack is built like a tank. It's heavy, steady, and very beautiful(especially rosewood). All shelfs are made from high quality material and are all spiked to sepearate each equipment. IMO, it exceeds, or at least, meets high expectation of serious audio lovers. All I can tell you is "Great".

This thing took about 45 minutes to put together and level out but once it was done...man what a difference it makes to have your equipment accessible. The Atlantic looks as good as any of my furniture and I didn't see any other racks that looked near as nice at any price. The level guage at the top is nice also.

In general, Reference is a great product. Exceptional build quality. Unfortunately, it is quite pricy. Judging the price vs. the value. I will give 4 out of 5.

The reviews in this sections are for the Atlantic Reference Audio Racks. An administrator apparently moved the review to "Atlantis Video Rack" They are different products. I have the Reference 5 Audio Rack with 5 shelves. If an administrator reads this review, please make a separte category for the Atlantis Reference Audio Racks like you had before.

Bottom Line:
I have had no problems with any shelves like other reviewers have encountered. I have a 50 pound Denon AVR-5700 receiver on the second from top shelf, and a 36 pound Denon DVD player on the shelf below it. As I started to assemble the rack, I noticed that the screw holes in the side rail appeared to be evenly spaced. Imagine my surprise when I finished building the rack, only to find out that the back left set of shelf-points were all about an inch too low! This caused the shelve to balance on only three rails. Despite this unevenness, the top shelve remained perfectly level as noted with the built-in bubble level. I solved the problem in about 15 minutes by inverting that odd rail. The shelves rest on points that are screwed into L brackets. The screws have not stops which means a lot of screwing and unscrewing to match the points on every level in order to level the shelves. A little time consuming but no problem. The rack is beautiful, but I don't own any other piece of equipment or furniture that is that deep of a rosewood color. Would have preferred smooth titanium silver color siderails with black shelves. Overall 5 starts. Super sturdy. This is one of very few racks I could find with at least 13" of spacing between the bottom shelf and the next shelf--a requirement for my little monitor used to see the output of my recording devices...
