The resulting solidity and strength formed by the method of assembly has positive sound deadening and de-coupling benefits. Shelving available is either black veneer MDF or grey tinted safety glass. Adjustable spikes support and further isolate the shelves, while sound absorbing pads are available as an alternative. Adjustable carpet-piercing spikes provide an acoustically sound and level foundation.

Summary:
This is a potentially great unit - if you spend a little time & effort with it. The unit is modular so you can literally fit any piece of equipment on it irrespective of size/weight. You can now chose pretty colours to keep the partner a little happier.
The basic module is strong, heavy & rigid + the shelves (glass or wood) are decent. The true potential lies in ordering the shelves/spacers slightly oversized. You can add your own extra shelves/supports to see if your turntable/cp player etc sounds different/better with granite, wood, glass, spikes or damping materials etc (& yes, some machines respond noticably). Therefore the Aria is flexable, tweekable, fun & potentially great.
