Like Danny below, I beleive this is the best 20" TV I have seen. Fine tuning the Picture and Contrast (or was it called Brightness?) settings, and greatly reducing the Sharpness setting, yielded an even better yet picture. Granted, it's quite expensive for it's size, but to approach this picture quality in a larger set (say 27-32") would cost double to triple the price. Personally, the only set's that I thought were as good or better were the Sony Wega's and XBR's. You simply can't go wrong with this TV.

Not only is this the best 20" television once fully internally and externally calibrated, but it also does the anamorphic squeeze with one simple service code switch. I haven't seen a better picture outside of fully-calibrated ultra-ultra high-end video systems costing more than my neighbor's '98 Mustang. If you have a KV-20V80 and you want my service code settings, let me know. I've spent the past year and a half getting them perfect. They're almost there.
p.s. - the WEGA 20" has nothing on this set. plus, WEGA's quality control isn't exactly dependable yet.

It's a lot of money for just a 20" tv. But it does have some things that are very rare in a 20" tv. It has a digital comb filter,a rear S-video input, and 500 lines of horizontal resolution. The MSRP is $450, but you can but it where it's available for around $400. The picture quality isn't perfect by NTSC standards, but it is the best I've seen in a 20" tv. If you don't have a piece of video equipment in your bedroom that has an S-video output don't even bother with this monitor. But if you do have a DVD player, or a Webtv, or a video game system with an S-video input in your bedroom it's a good monitor if you don't mind spending a few extra bucks. The picture quality gets a B+ overall, and an A+ for a 20" tv. The sound obviously isn't good considering it's from a 20" tv. But for a 20" tv it's excelent with 5 watts per channel of power, a dynamic acoustic chammber speaker system plus matrix surround sound. But I do have to tell you that it might pay off to wait if you're going to spend this much for a 20" tv since Sony is going to be coming out with a 20" Wega flat screen monitor in October with a MSRP of $450. If I knew that I wouldn't have bought this monitor for my bedroom, but I do think it might be the best 20" consumer monitor out there right now. I give it an overall rating of 4 stars only because the Wega is supposed to have a better picture according to people who were at the last CES.
