I was looking for a good indoor FM antenna to receive a few local low power stations.
I like to record off FM and naturally my favorite stations are weak and difficult to receive.
I used rabbit ears, Tryed. 2 Terks,models including the Terk Pro with terrible results.
I friend of mine recomended looking at the brand" Godar" Model 2.
The Model 2a deluxe is impressive size and design.This antenna reminds me of something from the future.
These are considered "high end" indoor antennas are usually purchased at higher end audio stores.Very good quality and construction as the elements are contained in the housing
I own a Mcintosh Mr 71 tuner along with a Mac 240 and MX110 pre-amp. Enjoy vintage high end as sound quality is number one for me. My system is used ona daily bases.
Love FM and the sound of a good Fm station.
One local FM station 89.5, a local classic music station usually comes in at 25% signal strength useing the other other brand antennas
The Model 2A deluxe really impressed me.
The Godar boosted the signal to 60% and came in super clear.This antenna also picked up another difficult FM station that is 50 miles away.My average signal was around 10% at best on the tuner meter.The model 2 tripled the signal over 30% on the dial. The station is now clear. .What was impressive was the reduced background noise on both stations from this antenna.Just tweak the antenna just a little and the signal clears up.
Antenna has the ability to capture weaker stations and deliver a strong clean signal to the tuner. Strengths:
