from Home Theater Store Summary: I recently purchased this baby at a clearance sale. I would have never considered this if I had to pay the regular price, which was $800.00. I read about this thing years ago. I am impressed. I had my entire system wired via s-video. I hooked this thing up and there was no comparison. The guts in this thing was far superior than what I had. I'm still experimenting with it. What I've found is that after a few days it seemed to have slipped into full throttle. It's constantly on, and it runs a little warm. So, give it plenty of breathing room. This truly improved my picture display with time, like days after, as I mentioned. If you get your hands on one, give it some time. I honestly think that the internal design is far better than any other filter available on TV sets. Even the 3-D filters. Of course, anybody that knows their stuff, will tell you that once the motion of your display begins the 3-D image is out the door. Your filter reverts back to 2-D images, which is not a bad thing. It's just a misleading concept. The filter in the VP-100 is a 2-D filter. In my opinion, after you see the results, you won't be able to tell your viewing a 2-D image. My display won't rival a $50,000 job, but; with the patented Faroudja technology inside the VP-100 you can't go wrong. Strengths: Build quality. Weaknesses: None, yet. Similar Products Used: N/A
