Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $1300.00 from Jamieson's Audio/Vid

Summary:
This review is for the CLS HT 1000 Power Line Conditoner. It is is an upscale 30 amp versus 20 amp version of the 9600 with more outlets and designed for Home Theater and Audio. I have the Power 30 ultra high speed power cable upgrade. "If AC power were water then your componets would be drinking from a sewer". The Chang Filters out the RF and the EMI without the transient limiting transfomers that other Power Line Conditioners use.

Strengths:
The Cost versus overall system improvement is off the chart. There is no sigle thing you can add to your system to improve it more, than buying one of Mr. Chang's Power Line Conditioners. If you are connecting a power amp you must choose a version that can pass it's full current demand. The downscale 15 amp versions are not designed for power amp usage. The 20 and 30 amp versions are. The effects on TV are "jaw dropping". I have 3 Chang's for my H/T, Audio-only, and bedroom systems. In my Audio system the effects are equally startling. The sound goes from 2-D to 3-D. The background noise and hash disappear.

Weaknesses:
Once you listen or look at a system with one you will be dissapointed with anything else. To get the full benefit of the product you need to upgrade your power cords.

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
