Review 1 of 2 Summary: I own a Power Foundation 2, which is similar to the PF3, except it has only a single ACFX for all 8 outlets vs. the PF3 which has a separate one for just the amp. My Plinius 8150i operates in Class-A mode for the first three watts and I was always getting annoying noise/hum through the speakers, which would vary by time of day (always quieter at night, noiser during the day ...which is indicative of line noise and not just the amp). I noticed immediately after plugging in the PF2 that I got less noise through the speakers. My Rotel is hooked into a "digital" outlet on the PF2. I can't say for sure whether the background is blacker. I haven't AXBed the devices, but I have no doubt my system is quieter with the PF2 installed. This device, though, isn't cheap! Strengths: less noise from speakers/amp Weaknesses: doesn't entirely eliminate line noise Similar Products Used: Paramax surge/noise
