Strength:

I found this little monster at a charity shop, £20, so I though, hey why not. I was at the time using a Marantz SR4200, which was fine, a good solid amp. I set up this, the Yamaha RX V10, and I was blown away. The sound quality is simply stupendous. I use a pair of old vintage 50w Akai 301 speakers, that I also got from a charity shop. The difference in sound quality that came out of them after swapping amps is like night and day. And the Marantz is a great amp. But the Yamaha is an undiscovered gem, seriously. It does surround and all that but all I did was hook up the left and right speakers, set the center mode to phantom, as per the manual, and that's it. Mint. Clearly I got bargain of the decade, this amp is easily worth 250 even in used condition.

Weakness:

None at all.
