DESCRIPTION

The R-V1105 is a 5-channel receiver providing the finest performance and processing available for music and video sound. Yamaha's Digital Sound Field Processing, Cinema DSP, and Tri-Field Processing are all included as are Dolby Surround Pro Logic, Dolby Digital, and DTS processing. Discrete power transistors rather than IC chips are used in the amplifier section to provide the cleanest sound possible. The amp delivers 85 watts each to the five channels. The new Dolby Digital system is a fully discrete system providing six channels of sound. Five are full-frequency channels, and the sixth is a low frequency effects channel. Like Dolby Digital, DTS is a discrete 5.1 channel system. It uses a higher bit-rate for greater resolution and is available on DVDs, laser discs, and music CDs.
