Strength:

Abundance of power, clean sound, dts es, matrix, neo6 modes.

Weakness:

clumsily deisgned remote, no component video outputs.

This is an unbelievable receiver, especially for the money. The build quality is very good, and the features are second to none. This receiver offers totally discreet amplifier stages, more outputs than you would ever need, and some really user friendly features like led dimming, cinema eq, and on screen display. I compared this unit to Kenwood, Sony, Onkyo, and harmon/kardon in the sub $400 range. This unit imo, outperforms them all. I will move to the higher line Sherwood/Newcastle units if I ever have a need for more power, which I cant forsee in the future.
