Strength:

Great entry level receiver, with alot of key functions to setup an nice sounding system.
On screen display simplifies the setup process.
Works amazing with my logitech Harmony remote

Weakness:

None at this time

Great Receiver for the price - these are discontinued now so you could get really good deals.

There are a few key features you need to setup on this receiver in order to make it work to its full potential.
1) Adjust speaker size.. this is key as the receiver automatically adjusts the sound range to the speakers. I have a set of Infinity 450 and was quite disappointed when I first setup the speakers but they instantly sounded better when you change the size.
2) Adjust the Frequency cutoff setting... This is a key step for your speakers. Look in your speaker manual and find out what frequency your center/surround speakers cut off at. The receiver has a menu that allows you to control what the lowest frequency is your speakers can handle, and automatically shifts the sound to the subwoofer. When I first plugged the Infinity setup in the speakers sounded a bit flat. By adjusting the setting to 150 hz, which is my cutoff, I had a much more full range of sound because the subwoofer kicked in at a higher tone.

Strength:

sound, functionality, quality, ability to configure individual speakers and settings
PRICE

Weakness:

no HDMI port
only 3 rear inputs

This is a great 6.1 for the price, the sound is superior to most products on the market, and if you have an Ipod, the new HK iBridge is a must. The set up was easy and not really any issues because of the lack of an HDMI port. I use Composite to hook up to my HDTV and the video/Audio switching is superb. I highly reccomend this product as the sound quality, individual speaker adjustments and onscreen displays are top of the line.
