This 3-way floor-stander features a 25mm silk- coated fabric dome tweeter with AE-design anodised alloy cone drive-units for the bass and mid-range. The triple chamber, bass-reflex cabinet includes a mid-range enclosure which has a damped alignment with a rear port, and the drive unit which has its own separate enclosure with a second high power flared port on the rear baffle. In addition to conventional, passive driving, the AE509 can also be tri-wired or tri-amped for purist audiophile performance.
