I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on 32" and 36" tube TV''s, so I was hesitant about buying one. I thought the instore display''s picture was better than the higher priced Sony''s and Toshiba''s. After lugging it home and watching a few hours, I noticed a dark spot in the upper left corner. Normally it was just a shade darker than the rest of the picture, but then a couple days later I noticed that sometimes it glowed red or green occasionally. I also began to notice that the picture quality was not very good at all. On some stations the picture appeared very out of focus, and when I watched DVD''s using the component input and even movies through the VCR seemed very out of focus. I''m not sure if it''s because the Sharp only has a 2-line filter or what, but even I expect more out of a $500 tv. So I took it back and will opt for a HDTV rear projection tv in a couple of months- the extra money will be worth the much improved picture. Strengths: Component input, lighter than most 32" tvs Weaknesses: Picture was blurry and out of focus. Glowing spot in upper corner. Similar Products Used: My four year old Sanyo 25" tv offers a better quality than this tv did.
