Designed so as not to starve power amplifiers. This made a big difference in my already very nice system. As a bonus, many think it helps with their TVs as well. Crutchfield has a nice shoot out article on their site. This device makes the music stand out more. There is more detail, more body and excellent transients. I can't emphasize this enough - if you have a nicer system and you haven't tried a good PC, give this one a try. You really will be able to hear the difference. I recently tried a very well respected power cord, plugged into the wall, first using it with my Pass Labs power amp then with my Benchmark DAC 3 which are very highly regarded. It was easy to tell the difference without the conditioner and not in a good way. I immediately plugged them back into the conditioner but the cord on the conditioner itself. To me this provided more dynamics and I will use the cord with the PC from now on.

Reading many threads, some people do not hear a difference in using a conditioner. This surprises me as a quality unit like the Furman will make a very noticeable difference.
