I use the Slim device/Logictech Squeezebox system in my home (I have 3 of the older classic models) once you rip all of your audio to a storage device (laptop/PC or MAC) the fun and enjoyment is never ending. Internet music is great for a office setup with no commerical on most sites: Pandora, LastFM.... The quality is based on how the music was ripped (MP3.WMA or Lossless formats) on a good system you would be hard press to notice any difference in sound. If you like to see album art, the newer models (Touch) will satisfy that with its remote letting you view album art of each artist/album you are listening to. I can not speak for all wifi systems, but the Squeezebox has multi outputs for analog/optical and coax to connnect to a small or larger system. If you have more than one you are able to play different music in each room at the same time or sync each player to act as one. The only draw back I see with the Squeezebox system is the need for a seperate computer or you will need to have one avialible for access your ripped music. If internet music is all you want, then no computer is needed then only wifi or cat 5 connection is required to operate.

So has anyone used a wireless system yet? I've heard via Steve G on CNET that even the audio review for NYT thinks these things are awful - but I've not heard anything myself. What are people's experience?
