Strength:
All around improvement in bass, treble, and mids...good ratio of price verses quality generally not found in most things these days !
Weakness:
Un-terminated can be difficult at times--you can only bend them so many times before they snap..then you have to strip off the casing for even lengths again to attach..a minor quibble thats all ! Consider this since their are only 4 total wires in each one I have almost two months use with them. Now, they are burned in and sound even better. Some folks did not like these, however, they have done nothing less but improve the sound of my system all the more ! I personally love this wire. |

Strength:
Very nice sound over all
Weakness:
None to notice I was really amazed my system could sound so good. A friend of mine gave me a pair of 12' he was not using. I was the kind of guy that thought these type of cables were just for the looks. But as soon as I hooked these up, My system started to really sing. Highs are crisp, Clear but not Harsh, Mids really stand out and are very smooth. and The bass is just unbeliabable tight and deep. when I was using regular cables my system was good but a bit on the bright side. but now all that come out of my Paradigm speakers is really good sound. Depth, warmth I don't even know how to discribe it. I'm am very pleased with the performance. My system consist of Receiver Marantz sr7200 Speakers Paradigm Monitor 11.v2 Sub Paradigm Pdr12 Similar Products Used: Regular Cables (monster) |

Strength:
generally smooth all the way for everything
Weakness:
none so far I''''''''''''''''ve got about 4 hours use on it at the moment.Brand new and it is a definite improvement over the lower end wire I was using.Bass is tighter, mids are fluid like..tweeters are a little harsh at the moment till I can get 50-60 hours burn in on these.Hey, I like them just fine and recommend them to anyone.Solid cable at a great price bought in bulk form(paid $3.00 a foot) ! I bought the "type 4" strictly on the reviews right here on this forum..thanks for the excellent info to everyone and Audio Review ! Only problem is that the wires are thick and can be difficult to place in a binding post on your amp--consider this since you have a total of 4 wires..two are 20 guage and the other two are 17 guage...I think Audioquest states that buy tying one of each(20+17 guage) together gives you a 15 guage cable Similar Products Used: Monster m 1.4 Bi wire--used for different set of speakers,Tara Labs prism omni(good stuff also for budget wire) |

Strength:
price, easy install, durable
Weakness:
none at this price For the money you can''''t go wrong with these cables. It makes me wonder if the guy who preferred the radio shack cables even terminated the type 4''''s correctly. Anyway, these should be at the top of the list for anyone looking to upgrade their system at a low cost. crystal clear highs, very tight bass and smooth mids. A great cable for a wide range of equipment. |

Not sure there are any! I own a Caver TFM-15 amp/ Carver CT-3 preamp/ Rotel RCD951 CD player/ Tannoy M-2's on 25" Sand filled Plataeu QT stands. I have been using the Original Monster Cable speaker wires for the past 3 years and never thought a new, higher tech style cable would really make a difference. I purchased the 12' long Audio Quest 4's and paid $100 for them. I was kinda skeptical about paying that kind of money for speaker cables but I wanted to make sure I was not shorting myself on any sound. I consider myself a frugal guy and can say that this was worth every penny. I have added about 20% more detail in sound. Nuetral is the key. The system sounds warmer overall while the highs are crisp and brighter. The bass is tight and solid. Nothing is grainy. I purchased these from Audio Atlanta which is one of the most knowledgeable shops in the city; their sales reps love these cables. I see why! Strength:
Has a very sweet tonal quality. Neutral for its price. Smooth, adds no bright or harsh edges to music.
Weakness:
Build quality. They were terminated at Audio Advisor. The Audioquest cables sound wonderful for their price. Just read the other reviews for information on how they sound. I have nothing to add. Similar Products Used: Radio Shack 16ga. |

Strength:
accuracy, transparency, tight bass quality, less distortion on extreme highs these cables, available for under 100 with spade termination are fine quality cables for most of us. the quality of the cables exceeds the needs of my speakers, but for < $100, who cares. I use the Definitive BP10bs. When i move up into some high quality reference speakers, i'd want better cables, but for now, these rock!! (and jazz) Similar Products Used: monster, radioshack by the foot |

Strength:
Good all around. No glaring faults.
Weakness:
Lacks ultimate clarity. This is good all around cable. It doesn't commit any major faults. Its sins are of omission. It doesn't offer the ultimate in resolution and air, but for mid-fi gear you wouldn't want that anyway. Nicely tones down the vagaries of digital and lesser components where higher resolution cable would make your ears bleed. Similar Products Used: DH Labs, Kimber, Monster |
