The 23HLV84 incorporates a built-in slot loading, progressive scan DVD player to enhance the products versatility. In addition to DVD-Video, CD and Video CD playback, the player is also DVD-R/CD-R/CD-RW compatible. Both 23 models also feature a 15-Pin D-Sub (VGA) Input for use with a PC. Toshibas TheaterWide LCD line, which includes the addition of two new 23-inch sets the 23HL84 HD Monitor LCD TV and the 23HLV84 HD Monitor LCD TV/DVD combination unit. Both sets offer a panel resolution of 720P (1280 x 768) True HD and a contrast ratio of 500:1.
