Nelson Pass imparts his sonic traits from Adcom GFA's and further with Pass Labs XA100.5. This amp sounds like a regular tube amp and as such the bass will not be as tight as solid state amps from Krell, Mark Levinson and the like. The mids and hi's are great however I find the bass too slow and lacks focus. I don't know how I can correct this as I listen to various music ranging from classical, pop to progressive and dynamic jazz(of which this amp could not deliver with speed and accuracy). Perhaps a better interconnect and speaker cables might help resolve this issue.
