 VK 20 Amplifier
The VK-20 establishes a benchmark in solid-state preamplifier performance by combining BAT's trademark high current Unistage topology with a wonderfully flexible and easy to use customer interface.

 VK 30 Amplifier
The VK-30 balanced line stage preamplifier is a very versatile vacuum tube model with two XLR and three RCA inputs. It accepts an internal phono module and remote control as two user options. This six-tube design incorporates next-generation Unistage topology, dual-mono construction, custom oil capacitors, and Balanced Audio Technologys new world-class user interface. Indeed, the VK-30 achieves the same current delivery as the legendary VK-5i to provide captivating musicality and superb authority.

 VK 3i
The Balanced Audio Technology VK-3i offers an unmatched combination of performance and value in a fully balanced line stage. This six-tube, zero-feedback design features vacuum-tube current regulation, continuously adjustable shunt volume control, custom encapsulated oil-filled signal capacitors, and the same Unistage circuit topology used throughout the BAT series of line stage preamplifiers. The VK-3i's Unistage design provides a single gain stage to amplify the signal. The stage-to-stage coupling distortions inherent in complex buffer or follower circuits are eliminated altogether. This single-stage design works together with the VK-3i's shunt volume control and custom encapsulated oil-filled signal capacitors to convey the pace, excitement, and nuance of a fine recording.

 VK 40
Balanced Audio Technology is pleased to introduce the superlative new VK-40 solid-state balanced preamplifier. The VK-40 establishes a benchmark in solid-state preamplifier performance by combining BAT's trademark high current Unistage topology with a wonderfully flexible and easy to use customer interface. Balanced Audio Technology's proprietary electronic shunt volume control in the VK-40 retains the use of Vishay bulk metal-foil resistors in the signal path - while expanding its range to include 140 steps of 0.5dB. Flexible input assignment is available via an easy-to-read twelve character alphanumeric display. Full remote control of source selection, volume, balance, phase, and mono/stereo switching is now available via a sophisticated machined-case transmitter. Indeed, even differences in source signal levels can be compensated for, while preset balance or phase adjustments can be assigned to each source individually. Additional flexibility is offered in the form of an optional easy to install plug-in phono module that can handle both MM and MC phono cartridges.

 VK 50
- The VK-50 gain stage incorporates twelve 6922 tubes, as opposed to six in the VK-5i.
- Caddock (VK-50) and Vishay Bulk Metal Foil (VK-50SE) plate load resistors are used in place of the standard metal film types used in the older models.
- Vishay Bulk Metal Foil resistors are used in the volume control attenuator.
- Efficient current sources used in the VK-50 model provide better AC performance.
- A next-generation shunt volume attenuator now incorporates 140 steps of .5dB.
- A new flexible user interface that provides the following remote controllable.

 VK 50SE
The performance of any preamplifier, tube or solid-state, is going to be determined to a large degree by the amplification device used. The advanced design of the Balanced Audio Technology's VK-50 balanced vacuum tube preamplifier gets maximum available performance out of the industry-standard and highly respected 6922 vacuum tube. Developing a preamplifier capable of performance superceding that of the VK-50 would, therefore, require a new amplification device with performance characteristics unobtainable from the current supply of existing vacuum tubes. Our search led us to discover a unique tube totally unknown to the West, produced exclusively for use by the Soviet military. Until the summer of 1998 this tube was banned for any export. As soon as this ban was lifted, Balanced Audio Technology obtained the exclusive rights to this new device.
