 Compact Theater Two wit
This package pairs Onkyo's TX-DS575 A/V receiver with Atlantic Technology's Compact Theater Two speaker system. Add a DVD player and a TV, and you'll be ready to enjoy the home theater experience. The Onkyo TX-DS575 receiver delivers 70 watts per channel into 8 ohms and decodes Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic and DTS surround sound signals. Sources can be connected via four A/V inputs, two audio-only inputs and three assignable digital inputs (one optical, two coaxial). The lack of S-video inputs may disappoint some DVD aficionados, but many folks prefer to send video signals straight to the TV. The 5.1-channel line input makes this receiver compatible with DVD-Audio players. Binding posts are used for the front left/right and center speakers, while wire clips are used for the rear-surround speakers. The Compact Theater Two (CT2) system comprises six pieces: two front left/right speakers, a center-channel speaker, two rear-surround speakers and a powered subwoofer. All the speakers are two-way models with power ratings of 10-150 watts, nominal impedance of 8 ohms, and rated sensitivity of 90 dB. The front left/right speakers have 5.25-inch polymer cone woofers, 1-inch Mylar dome tweeters, 5.25-inch passive radiators and a frequency response of 55 Hz-20 kHz. The center has one 5.25-inch polymer cone woofers, a 1-inch Mylar dome tweeter, a 5.25-inch passive radiator and a frequency response of 55 Hz-20 kHz. Both the mains and the center are magnetically shielded. The rear-surround speakers have 4-inch polymer cone woofers, 0.5-inch Mylar dome tweeters and a frequency response of 80 Hz-20 kHz. They are not magnetically shielded. The powered subwoofer has a 12-inch woofer, a 150-watt amplifier, a 50-150 Hz variable crossover, line-level and speaker-level inputs, and a frequency response of 20 Hz-180 Hz.
