I was in the search for the best possible VGA cable to run from my HTPC to my HDTV and this cable definately fit the bill. My color is excellent, there is no interference and the video is as sharp as I could ever expect. I am impressed! A customer for life. Thanks, BetterCables. =]

Strength:

Excellet build quality, video performance exceeded my expectations.

Weakness:

None, given quality and performance for the cost.

The Bettercables.com DB15-DB15 Premium VGA cable exceeds my expectations! Having suffered ghosting and "pixel smearing" on my Mitsubishi XGA LCD projector using a 25ft SVGA generic cable, I researched available alternatives.

Research and web word-of-mouth led me to BetterCables.com.

I bought the 10 meter DB15-DB15 VGA Premium cable last Fall (2000), and was amazed at the pixel-perfect image performance in my front projection application. The Premium VGA cable connects a HTPC (Home Theater PC, a PC used for DVD and music playback) to a Mitsubishi X100 XGA 1024x768 LCD projector. The PC outputs a 1024x768 @ 60 Hz image, which displays pixel-perfect on the projector via the Premium VGA cable, with no noise or other analog artifacts. The image looks like its connected via a direct digital feed!

The image quality exceeds that I've seen via 6 or 9 foot cables built into 19" monitors I own!

Strength:

Excellent build quality. Custom lengths.

Weakness:

Would have preferred thumb screws to regular screws for securing the connectors.

Using these cables for both a HTPC and a RCA DTC-100 connected to a Pioneer PRO-710HD. Great picture even over long cable runs... no apparent loss in detail.

Strength:

Very well made
Great company

Weakness:

The price, but you get what you pay for.

I purchased a 5 meter cable to connect a NEC VT540 to a CrystalScan scaler. the VT540 uses a VGA in for HDTV, digital, and component signal. In my setup the Silver Serpent is run through a conduit and I wanted to make sure I only had to pull this thing once. The S-Serpent did not disappoint. Resolution is crisp and clear, with no noticible signal loss in any of the formats that run through it. The company is a pleasure to deal with.

I use a 40' BetterCables VGA cable to connect a home theater computer graphics card to a high rez projection monitor. The cable significantly improved the sharpness of the display in comparison with the cable it replaced. I was impressed with the service provided by BetterCables and the quality of their product.

One of the problems I had with my previous cable was that the manufacturer only supplied 5 BNC termination and I was forced to use a low quality VGA to BNC monitor cable to adapt it to the computer. Having a direct VGA to BNC cable is a much better solution.

Strength:

No perceptible signal loss on 35' cables. Stiff outer braiding to prevent physical damage.

I use 2 35' cables to connect a video scaler and a HDTV receiver to a DILA projector. There is no difference in picture quality than with a short 6' VGA cable.

I had been using a grey computer-grade vga cable to pass HDTV signals up to my Runco front-projector television. When I heard about Better Cables I decided to give them a try, since I knew that discrete coax vga was far better than the computer twisted pair architecture I was using. Well, when they first arrived I realized that I had made an ordering mistake (male ends, rather than male-female) and Brad replaced them quickly and without cost. The final product produces sharper images, more 3d, better resolution and the build quality results in a tighter better fit on the equipment. Overall, an absolute bargain.

My projector, Davis DL450, had problems syncing with various resolutions with the supplied cables. Also there was strange color tinges at 640*480 resolution

I replaced them with Hi-grade generic 6' VGA computer cablesand there were no improvements.
I heard about Better cables and decided to try these cables so I bought 33ft VGA cable. I must say that I was very impressed. The projector now sync fine, even with odd resolutions (i.e Need For Speed III race config screen). The picture quality is exceptional and these is no apparent loss of signal. The color tinges have disappeared.

On the company side, I spoke with them on several occassions and they have been very pleasent, I received my product on time. I will say, the pictures does not do enough justice in showing the incredible build quality. It is a great cable.
