Strength:

Picture color, lots of menu options,16+9 format,3 comb digital filter,1 componet input which will be a great benefit when the full hdtv signal is in place.

Weakness:

Tube is a little loud for 3 seconds after starting.Heavy as hell.

This tv has great color depth,it is in my opinion the best non hdtv you can get I have owned about 10 tvs in 3 years im very picky when it comes to my electronics.i admit i have seen slight waviness vertically. But considering that EVERY tv ive owned in some way has had some form of geometry problem.not, noticable to the untrained eye.SONY is the best made tube tv there is ive owned toshiba, hitachi, jvc ,rca ,panasonic. They have all been good but sony is still on top. After all they invented THE flat screen.

Strength:

tv has great picture, desent sound,16=9 format for those who love those black bars.best bang for the buck

Weakness:

16+9 feature could be easier to access, heavy 165 pounds. Can see slight pixel grain.

32 inch non hdtv -went with this tv because hdtv, althogh it looks great it can be a pain.If you perchase an hdtv you need to know that 98% of hdtvs are just monitors they need an additional tuner witch costs 299.00-2,000.You also need to know when you get an hdtv and you recieve the hdtv signal your picture will always have those black bars, becuase its 16+9 format. So unless you get a big screen you you wont have much of a piture.also they are problematic so you need an ex-warranty those are 3 times as costly verses an analog tv.ive had several hdtvs and took them back, had a 32 inch analog jvc but it developed purple spots on left side.

Strength:

Flat screen, svideo inputs on front and back, audio output, remote, picture modes

Weakness:

Left side of picture has a vertical band that is darker than rest of picture, when showing channel guides and other lines on the screen, the lines are bent at the top left conner, very heavy. If you don't have it connected to a cable (being used just as a monitor), you keep getting a message that you need to connect a cable for it to auto detect channels. Hitting Chan- doesn't get rid of it.

There is a vertical band on the left side that is darker than the rest of the picture. It is more prononced with lighter solid color backgrounds or on blank screens like at the start of a video tape. Also, it can't show straight vertical or hor lines in the left middle and left top areas. Convergence is off also there. Aside from those 2 big problems, the picture was great on still scenes. But moving scenes seem hasrh because of dot crawl. On moving lines especially it was very distracting.

I bought this TV from Circuit City and so I called and asked them to bring a new one. They did and the second Wega has the same problems. Reading in the news groups of others having the same problems, I have decided to return the Sony and get the Panasonic CT32-SF36.

If you want just the Sony name or a flat screen or if you are not critical, buy this set. But if you are annoyed by brightness problems and bent lines, look else where for a TV.

Strength:

Great picture, Component Video inputs, Flat screen.

Weakness:

176lbs.

First of all, after reading some of the "PROBLEMS" posted by other people, I was skeptical. However, I decided to take a chance and get the KV-32FS10. I could not be happier with my new TV. I have none of the problems stated in other posts. There are no dark bands on the sides, and the colors do not bleed in the corners. DVD's have never looked better. DTV and videogames are also crystal clear. The sound is OK, but I have a good home theater system I use anyway. Overall, I have no complaints with this TV, it is a keeper.

Strength:

Picture color quality, flatness, component hookup for DVD.

Weakness:

Heavy.

Got it as a Christmas present after 10+ years of looking at a 19" TV! Wonderful improvement.
Hooked up DVD with component connections and it's incredible!
Have only an aerial to receive TV station signals and it still looks great.
I'm still breaking it in so stay tuned...

Strength:

Gorgeous Picture. Nice Sound. Nicely made.

Weakness:

I am glad I saved the extra cash as it is more than the others in this range.

I couldn't wait to get my new toy home. This is a fantastic TV. The picture is remarkable...so clear and crisp. I love all the features also. There are 4 inputs, inc Composite for DVD players. The sound is good..but I will use an amp and speakers. I love the depth you get with this TV,it is almost 3D at times. It is heavy,so do what Sears recommends, get the Sony stand. A terrific buy!

Strength:

Love that picture. Nice Colour in all scenes. Good sound. Really impresses the neighbours.

Weakness:

Owner's manual is skimpy.

What a great TV this is.I finally picked this one after trying JVC and Panasonic's 32" models. The others just don't have the clarity this model has.The flat screen looks awesome even when off. I love the colour as well,I keep my set on the movie mode which is softer looking. It has Vivid, Sports and Standard also. The lines on graphics are always straight too...no barrel distortion with my example. I like the sound system with it's Matrix Surround. A great TV at a reasonable price.
