DESCRIPTION

The JVC DLA-G15 front projector uses a fairly new type of display technology called Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier (D-ILA). Developed by Hughes-JVC, D-ILA technology is superficially similar to LCD (liquid crystal display) systems, using an array of several hundred thousand pixels rather than the three big tubes found in a conventional CRT (cathode ray tube) projector. However, a D-ILA projector can produce a significantly brighter image than an LCD model, without the conspicuous borders betweenpixels that can create an annoying mosaic effect.
