Strength:

Sharp picture, ok design, silent, good built in tuner

Weakness:

No text device in the set

It's a really userfriendly device, it was up and running within a couple of minutes, after 45 minutes of floorstand installation... It's a heavy device, but works exelent and is really quiet even though is has a fan.

Strength:

Cool running, nice looks

Weakness:

Looks like it would be hard to mount on wall

We had the 42B1, which was smoked after a year and a half. We had the 5 year guarantee through Sound Track, and after a couple of months of non-returned phone calls, the set was replaced with this year's model. It has different inputs than the 42B1 that in some ways are easier, but it hasn't the inputs for a computer for game play (which my son does not like). I like the picture except for the 'chroma effect' which makes night or dark scenes blotchy, like smeary fingerpaints where it should be dark. My son thinks the 42B1 had a sharper image. This model runs much cooler than the 42B1, which was like an oven (no wonder it burned up). Best advice is to pay the extra (we paid $660) for the 5 year extended warranty. Be forewarned that each time the set is replaced you have to pay Sound Track (or other company) another fee for a new warranty.

Strength:

easy of use

Weakness:

not sure yet

This next generation sony plasma TV could not be any easier to use. I had it running in less than 2 minutes from when the box opened. I am very happy with the picture quality. Can't wait to get more HDTV stations. Best Buy Plamsa had the TV at my house in 3 working days!!! 2K less that anywhere local.
