Bottom Line:
I could not be happier with the picture and quality of this set. The 9" CRT's really sold me on this as the competition was all 7" and the blacks on this were better than anything else I looked at. The colors are vivid with a 3 dimensional feel to them. I had ruled out Mitsubishi's and was down to Sony and Pioneer but this one blew the others away. Had the unit for 4 years and have never had a glitch.

Bottom Line:
If I had to buy over again, I probobly would buy this set again. The other similar sets are more money, and most
don't have the decoder/tuner built in like this one. The picture is, indeed, very good. And I really wanted a set that could use a progressive DVD player, but you can't always get all the features you want. This set has many connections and jacks for a lot of things, so I would rate it a good buy.

Bottom Line:
If you are truly into HDTV and have the room and $$ then you absolutely MUST see this set before buying any HDTV! Buying a direct view set for High Definition is a definite compromise due to the small screen size of direct view tubes. High definition cries out for a large screen. No matter what your previous opinion of Rear Projection TVs was, you have to see this set. It will change your viewpoint just as it did mine.
