Strength:

Good Picture

Weakness:

Sound

I've had this projection TV (Toshiba 43HX70) for almost 7 years. This last year, I've been having a problem with the power light blinking resulting in no picture. I just checked with a TV repairman and he says I need to replace my power supply @ a cost of $400.00 . Is this worth it?

I have owned my Toshiba for 5 years and 8 months and the convergence went out on it. I have a blue arc at the bottom left side of the screen. The red and blue have seperated.

I searched the internet about fixing it and I found that the part is hard to get and it cost around $200.00. I also found that other people had the same problem with their Toshiba **hx70. Although the television was good for 5 years and 8 months, I think I paid alot of money for a television that only lasted that long.

Strength:

picture quality,price, size

Weakness:

clunky remote has weak signal

Excellent RP HDTV. DVD's are amazing(progressive scan), cable tv a little grainy, but watchable. Directv is cristal clear. Sound is very good although I usually listen to everything through 5.1 receiver.

Definately recommend!!

Strength:

Large 4:3 set, great for video game systems that don't allow 16:9 setting

Weakness:

convergeance board is a POS

Well this is from the person who is unfortunate enough to buy this set: Don't buy ANYTHING that isn't 16:9. My convergeance board will not allow me to perfectly convearge the picture in the bottom right corner so you see a red blob during letter box viewing. I have had techs come out to my house many many times. They said that there was nothing outside of the manufactorer's specs wrong with the set. They proceeded to underdrive the red CRT to elimnate the red blob and now my flesh tones suck. Don't buy this TV unless you are a masocist.
