I bought this sub to complete my vintage NHT setup and I was really pleasantly surprised at the clarity and overall power. PERFECT for music but I did notice it tends to bottom out on really deep thunderous explosions in movies. But for a sub to hit those low notes perfectly, you need to spend tons of money on a ultra high end sub. I highly recommended sub for the entry level enthusuast. If you are sreious about home theater and want to feel the bass, get two or maybe one of their newer powered subs.

I can not believe there are no reviews of the wonderful 10" passive sub. I am using the SA2SI with an NHT SA3 amp. This sub is absolutely perfect. It has punch and character. There is always a minor sacrifice in very low freq. when you choose a 10", but the benefits regarding accuracy and definition prevail. Anyone who listens to driving source material (AC/DC, NIN, or even Raitt) will appreciate this magnificent performer when it’s matched with the right amp. I have used this sub with a number of great amps, but always come back to the SA-# because of its set-up versatility and forward volume control. Bottom line is; I am in love.
